1. Cook steak: Heat an oiled grill pan over medium-high heat. Rub steak with 1 teaspoon canola oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Grill 3 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Remove to a board to rest.

2. Prep Vegetables: While steak is cooking, halve the tomatoes. Chop cucumbers. Chop basil.

3. Cook Tomatoes: IHeat 1 teaspoon canola oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the tomatoes and garlic. Sauté 2 minutes or until garlic is tender and tomatoes begin to soften. Transfer tomatoes to a medium mixing bowl.

4. Make Sweet Pecans: Wipe out skillet and place over medium-low heat. Add brown sugar, pecans and ¼ teaspoon of canola oil. Cook, stirring, JUST until brown sugar begins to melt and coat the pecans. Remove from heat..

5. Finish salad: Add arugula, cucumbers, basil, vinegar, 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper to the tomatoes and toss to coat.

To Serve: Slice steak and serve with tomato salad alongside. Garnish with sweet pecans.
