Wine Pairings by @grapefriend

In summer you don’t want anything too heavy, but you still want a red with cheesesteak. Venture out with a dry Lambrusco which is awesome served with a chill – perfect for summer dinners.

The big hop astringency of an IPA is exactly what this slider needs!

TK Table Talk:

If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would you be?

What To Do:

Cheesesteak Sliders - Step 1

1. Cook Vegetables: Add 2 teaspoons oil to a medium sauté pan over medium heat. When oil begins to shimmer, add vegetables, ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Cook, stirring often, until the vegetables begin to wilt and brown (about 10 minutes).

Cheesesteak Sliders - Step 2

2. Cook Steak: While vegetables are cooking, heat a lightly oiled grill pan or grill to medium-high heat. Liberally salt and pepper both sides of the steak and place on the hot grill. Cook, turning once, until cooked through (about 3-4 minutes per side). Remove and allow to rest.

Cheesesteak Sliders - Step 3

3. Finish Vegetables: Remove vegetables from heat and stir in pesto.

Cheesesteak Sliders - Step 4

4. Slice Steak: VERY thinly slice the steak against the grain.

To Serve: Toast buns or not depending on your preference. Top each slider bun with sliced steak, cheese and vegetables.

Pro Tip:

Make your sliders open faced and serve with a knife and fork! #fancy

Sure, our TK food containers are recyclable, but we’d rather you upcycle them first. We’re partial to using them to sprout our garden seeds, but we’d love to see how creative you are! Tag us in your photos. #tklife
