Wine Pairings by @grapefriend

Grab a Rioja. It’s a great backbone for the steak but has a spicy cherry kick that will pair well with the pepper sauce.

Beer Pairings

Mildly hopped with complex caramelized malt flavor, a Märzen Oktoberfest complements the char-grilled steak and sauce.

3. Make sauce: Place peppers, basil (set aside a few leaves for garnish), vinegar, honey, mustard, and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a blender or food processor. Process until smooth, adding 1 tablespoon water, or more until mixture is sauce-like. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Slice steak thinly against the grain.

To Serve: Divide steak and asparagus between two serving plates. Serve with sauce. Garnish with reserved basil leaves.

Pro Tip:

If you’re using an outdoor grill instead of a grill pan, create a grill basket for the vegetables using aluminum foil coated with cooking spray.

Sure, our TK food containers are recyclable, but we’d rather you upcycle them first. We’re partial to using them to sprout our garden seeds, but we’d love to see how creative you are! Tag us in your photos. #tklife
